Jiro Kimura

The book is an homage to Jiro Kimura (b.1947), an interior designer, who passed away in 2004.
His wooden furniture with warmth fascinated people.
Sometimes he made flames with old used wood for the photographers who held exhibitions at gallery trax that was remodeled handmade himself a nursery school into a gallery in Yamanashi prefecture.

A photographer, Katsumi Omori (b.1963, in Kobe) and a graphic designer, Junichi Tsunoda (b.1960 in Aichi) have held to have their own exhibitions at the calm space surrounding wild grasses and birdsongs.

They put Kimura’s furniture on ground under natural light, and Omori takes the photographs when the retrospective exhibition of Kimura was held in September 2009.
Tsunoda who works as a book designer tries to contain the essence of Kimura’s work and his own memories of an outstanding interior designer.
